Our thoughts actually create reality. And I’m not talking about in the theoretical, “perspective” type of way. The more and more I study it, the more I see it:
Think about it…
When you “think” your brain generates a signal. That signal has-
🧠 magnetic fields that are measurable
🧠 electrical impulses that are trackable
🧠 chemical effects that are seen
🧠 energy that can be observed and explained via Quantum Physics
Andy explains it all in 3 videos x 15 minutes each!
Your mind actually has a high-degree of control.
It’s kinda like what Henry Ford said is actually true: “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right!”
Every day we make small decisions (which often seem insignificant) as to how things are going to go for us…
And, it all comes down to this- One of two things will set your agenda: your excuses or your dreams. I refer to them as this:
✅ Reality = the truth that God has called you to something amazing, that there is an incredible path outlined for you!
❌ Reasons you give not to embrace that destiny….
Once you understand the power of the mind… and how it literally creates destiny, some of the most popular Bible verses make EVEN MORE sense. Things like…
🤔 “Take your thoughts captive” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
🤔 “Be transformed… by renewing your mind” (Romans 12:1-2).
🤔 “Be anxious for nothing…” (Philippians 4:6f).
🤔 “Think on things that are pure, lovely, of good report…” (Philippians 4:8).
When we really believe that we can do these things… that we CAN take thoughts captive, that we CAN transform ourselves by proactively recreating what’s in our minds… that we CAN choose peace over anxiety and stress… that we CAN select the object our our thoughts… we begin to see just how powerful we are.
Dr. Caroline Leaf says that humans have “multiple perceptive advantage,” a way of viewing our lives that allows us to stand “outside” of ourselves and view reality from multiple angles. It’s this MPA that makes mind renewal possible.
Dr. Leaf writes, “It’s important to make a distinction between who you truly are- the real, multifaceted, unique you- and the person you have become through toxic choices” (see Switch On Your Brain, p45).
In other words, there’s the ACTUAL script of our life- the one full of grace and honor and value…
… and then there’s the script we often create. A lesser story. Something more tragic instead of fulfilling.
Because of the MPA, we can step back, almost as if we’re watching our lives play out on a screen, and we can begin changing the story line…
John wrote, “Beloved, I pray you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 2). He prays for prosperity… in all things… and in health.
Yet, it seems that THE SOUL IS THE MEASURE of how much we can carry- in the prosperity of “all things" and in our total health & wellness (which is far more than just physical, though physical health must be included here).
What’s the soul? It’s the mind… and your emotions…
Here’s the deal: we often “spiritualize” or “futurize” the blessings of God, believing they only matter in the after-life. When we do this, we reduce the stories of Scripture to allegory, effectively punting the promises of God to a time and place where we don’t experience the full benefits of them. John assumed we could experience these blessings now.
What holds us back?
We'll take a look in this course...
There’s an interesting verse in the book of Psalms that speaks to the high degree of control we have over our mental outlook. We read that specific actions can actually make us glad!
Psalm 45:8 says that “All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia… you made yourself glad by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
Notice what that verse says...
👉 You made yourself glad.
👉 You took control over how you mentally framed the situation.
👉 Even if you couldn't change the circumstances, you could rise above them.
This video course leads you through the Oils of Ancient Scripture, with a unique spin towards focusing on mental clarity and cognitive focus-- that is,
⭐️ looking at reality as it really is (not living in a fantasy world), yet also
⭐️ evaluating the thoughts we choose to dwell on-- and making sure we maintain a healthy "center"
⭐️ because how things go "inside" is how they will continue to reflect "outside."
